Wanted to have breakfast at East Coast this morning but landed up at ViVo where we had the very oily Long John Silver's breakfast platters. We were joined by Ma, the Dopes and Gigi, and the kids loved exploring the play area outside the restaurant.
Thereafter it was off to Best Denki to get Ma her birthday pressie...we settled on a Canon Ixus digital camera. I know she would have preferred a digital camcorder so she can record the antics of her grandchildren but she and technology don't exactly get along and we figured we'd end up doing all the work of downloading and editing...this way she can still record since the camera has a high definition recording function but it would be a lot simpler for her to operate.
In the evening, we headed to AMK for a last minute dinner with Mildred and her former charge's family. They were there to celebrate her birthday in advance and so we got to meet Cato and Cara again.
Cara is just under 3 months younger than Nat but still quite babylike....she's so chubby and cute, reminds me a little of Winnie the Pooh somehow! She has a strong set of lungs though, as displayed when she thought Nat was 'stealing' her toys. Technically they were Nat's toys which Mildred keeps at AMK but Cara doesn't understand about sharing yet so she screamed whenever something was taken away from her.
Nat would just look on in bewilderment and go play with something else, I was thinking my daughter was quite an angel in comparison...well, at least we didn't have to stamp out any tantrums or discipline her in front of other people. Phew!
We are off to the Nathans' place in a bit for a small new year's day party...am feeling a tad peckish, hope there's food!
